We will take a deep dive in to the world of co-working. Co-working has exploded on the office scene and is no longer a use limited to start-up companies. This panel discussion will include views on co-working from a corporate real estate user (IBM), landlord (Portman Holdings), co-working company (WeWork), and a local tech start-up (Levvel).
Travis Garland, Asset Manager, Portman Holdings – Moderator
Travis is responsible for the Portman Holdings Office Portfolio and is based in Atlanta, GA. Travis has recent experience working with co-working companies Industrious, WeWork, and Spaces in leasing negotiations. You will know him best locally from assets owned by Portman in Charlotte - the Westin Hotel and the new office tower at 615 S. College St.
Koo MacQueen, Strategic Planning Manager, IBM – Panelist
Koo works on IBM’s strategic planning team in Charlotte and has been a local member of CoreNet for 7 years. She is currently a Strategic Planning manager for IBM's Real Estate Strategy and Operations (RESO) team. Koo is responsible for the North America portfolio consisting of 33 million square feet of owned and leased properties.
Adam Wacenske, General Manager of WeWork's Southern Region, WeWork – Panelist
WeWork is the largest coworking company in the world with 100,000 members across the globe and will be opening a location in Charlotte this summer. As General Manager of the South, Adam oversees communities, marketing, sales, finance and operations.
John Espey, CEO, Levvel – Panelist
John is the CEO and co-founder of Levvel, a fast growth technology company headquartered in Charlotte with locations in New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Dallas, and Melbourne, Australia. John has personal experience working out of several co-working locations across the US and abroad.
