Join us in May for a fast paced and thought-provoking half-day symposium on the advanced technologies disrupting the CRE marketplace. Subject matter experts from around the country converge on the Carolinas to share how the most innovative organizations are using technology today and forecast what the future holds.

Symposium Objectives: The learning objectives for this program include understanding how technology and data analytics are transforming CRE, and the convergence of real estate, workplace and technology. It is our goal to showcase both technology and innovation in use today by the world’s most progressive CRE’s, and to provide a look into the amazing future of technology and real estate.

The half-day program will begin with a “meet and greet” with our speakers starting at 2:00, followed by presentations from our two co-keynote speakers, Stephan Cloitre, Executive Vice President at JLL and Brittanie Campbell-Turner, Managing Director at Constructrr. After the keynote presentations, we will welcome attendees for a brief break and refreshments. Our program will then continue with our first panel on how the most innovative organizations are using technology today followed by our second panel to hear what our industry’s brightest thought leaders forecast for CRE technology in the future. Finally, all attendees will be invited to close the program with more networking and demos in the Innovation Lounge.

Key Note Speakers:

Stephan Cloitre, Executive Vice President at JLL
Stephan is the Executive Vice President and Global Managing Director of JLL Technology Solutions - Consulting. His industry experience and expertise not only enable him to lead this growing practice, but to cultivate and enhance value and operational efficiencies for JLL customers. Stephan brings a broad business background and many years of domestic and international practice as a senior consultant in the fields of Facility Management, Real Estate Management, Space Planning and IWMS technologies.

Stephan is known for his industry thought leadership around CRE technology and he has been recognized as a Top-Rated CoreNet Global Faculty member for his role as an instructor and co-developer of the curriculum for CoreNet Global’s ‘CRE Technology: Structure and Strategies’ course - which is part of the of the Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) curriculum.

Brittanie Campbell – Turner, Managing Director of Constructrr
Brittanie Campbell-Turner is a Construction Management Professional who works with Corporate Real Estate owners and operators to reduce uncertainty as they make decisions on their construction projects. She is passionate about servicing the engineering and construction management industry and has being doing for 10+ years Project Management.

As the Managing Director of Constructrr and the host of The Constructrr Podcast, Brittanie empowers the AECO community to foster trusting relationships within construction project teams, helpPs owner / operators understand how to lower risk, be under budget and on schedule in your construction projects.

Brittanie is also currently a Project Management Consultant at Mace North America and is always researching ways to positively impact the construction industry by implementing best practices and innovative ideas.

Panel 1:

Marc Betesh, Founder, Visual Lease
Founder of Visual Lease since its inception in 1995, Marc Betesh is one of the country’s leading experts on lease construction, lease expenses and effective lease negotiation strategies.

In addition to running Visual Lease, Marc is also the President of KBA Lease Services, the signature firm in lease auditing. Prior to establishing Visual Lease and KBA Lease Services, Marc practiced law in New York City where he negotiated commercial leases.

He has consistently been ranked among the “top-rated faculty” at CoreNet Global Learning and is a frequent lecturer on lease topics at New York University’s Real Estate Institute, AECRE (Attorneys and Executives in Corporate Real Estate), American Bar Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Practicing Law Institute, ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Panel 2:

Craig Dunn, Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate for TIAA
Craig Dunn is the Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate for TIAA. Craig spent his first six years managing the Telecommunications division for the firm’s western states and was instrumental in the design, development, and construction of the Charlotte campus.

After moving over to the facilities and construction division, he has overseen the growth from a couple dozen locations to over 180 locations in the U.S. Additionally, Craig has participated in TIAA’s continued JV and M&A growth that has allowed him to lead expansions in the UK, Luxembourg, China, and India.

Craig has also overseen the adoption of sustainable design and facility operation efforts for TIAA. Those efforts have contributed to the firm being awarded the EPA’s “Energy Star Partner of the Year” for seven consecutive years and have allowed most TIAA properties to obtain LEED certification.

Sean O’Neill, SVP, Real Estate Strategy and Innovation for BB&T
Sean leads Real Estate Strategy for BB&T's Corporate Real Estate organization. He manages internal and outsourced teams that are responsible for BB&T’s portfolio strategy, workplace design, performance analytics, occupancy planning, and data administration for a portfolio of over 2,000 corporate and retail assets totaling 20MM SF. Sean has diverse Corporate Real Estate experience including portfolio planning, program management, transaction management, relationship management, financial analysis and building and leading teams at Fortune 500 companies including Bank of America, CBRE and Duke Energy.


Simon Foster, Managing Director, Integrated Portfolio Services Lead for JLL
Simon Foster has 30 years of management experience and is Head of Portfolio Strategy on the Bank of America (BofA) account based in Charlotte. His responsibilities include Integrated Portfolio Services, Market, Occupancy and Capital Planning. JLL are the lead provider to BofA supporting some 50 million sq, ft. across their global portfolio.

In 2015 Simon was appointed Global Account Director for the JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) Account. The JPMC contract was notable for expanding the use of technology to capture all JPMC’s real estate data in a single data warehouse – including portfolio data for multiple service providers.

Simon joined JLL in 2014 supporting the HSBC Account covering approximately 65 million sq. ft. across 4,000 cities globally. He responsible for Business Insight & Technology, Procurement, Health & Safety and Soft Services.
