Wayne Li is a graduate of the University of Texas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Fine Arts, a graduate of Stanford University with a Masters of Science in Engineering. Presently he is the Oliver Professor of Design and Engineering at GA Tech, and also an adjunct professor at the Stanford School of Business. He studied under David Kelly, founder of IDEO, at the Stanford Business Innovation program. He previously worked at Ford, Volkswagen and Williams-Sonoma in product design. At Georgia Tech, his mission is to build bridges between the disciplines of Design and Engineering that are sometimes strange bedfellows as are Design and Real Estate. Wayne is currently directing a project at GA Tech to renovate their library into an “innovation center” that would foster creative learning.
