4 1⁄2-floor Boston headquarters in the historic—and restored—former Filene’s building, one of Boston’s treasured historic buildings at the heart of the city.
Designed by renowned architect Daniel Burnham, Filenes opened its flagship store in Downtown Crossing in 1912. The building was technologically advanced for its time and a pioneer in many building systems still in use today including the steel structure frame and large areas of glass.
The design vision for the new Havas/Arnold Worldwide headquarters was to stitch a modern space with state-of-the-art technology within a historic building that has been restored with original architectural details. The iconic Filene’s clock that adorns the exterior of the historic building has been rechristened with the Havas brand.
