This session will feature an overview of the elements needed to produce a professional resume for the current competitive market, and the role of the cover letter as a companion marketing tool. The overall resume strategy, role of personal branding, and the structure needed to create information categories and flow that align with the perspective of hiring managers will
be discussed.

We will take a focused look into effectively presenting your professional experience in terms of key dimensions of your role, as well as developing accomplishment statements to feature the value and impact you bring an organization. The function of applicant scanning systems used by many HR groups will also be reviewed, as it relates to how professionals incorporate the use of key words to gain visibility and match market requirements.

Nancy Hayes Bevington, Senior Career Consultant, Right Management
Nancy is a Senior Career Consultant based in New England and oversees the operations of the Burlington office. She works with executives on developing their strategy, action plan and marketing materials, and also leads the Women’s Networking Group and executive round table. She has been with Right since 2003.
Nancy’s previous work was in media production and marketing with an industry background of Healthcare and Technology. Her areas of expertise include coaching, facilitating and training. She is known for focusing clients on innovative solutions and negotiating success. Nancy is the cofounder of the Boston Club’s mentoring program and sits on the board of the Boston YWCA.

Pat Windelspecht, Career Management Consultant, Right Management
Pat is a Career Management Consultant based in Boston, and joined Right Management in 2007. She coaches all levels of professionals in career transition.
Pat is also a Resume Specialist working with candidates across the US and Canada, and particularly enjoys developing personal branding with professionals to enhance their marketing and career visibility.
She was the founder and President of a corporate outplacement firm for over 10 years with national and regional corporations, professional services firms, and university and government clients.
Having been a multiple business owner and consultant, her areas of expertise also include entrepreneurial coaching, including consulting and contracting as a career option.
