Jones Lang LaSalle

Anthony Pizzitola is a Facilities, Disaster Recovery and Quality Assurance Professional. Currently he is a Quality Assurance Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle. His interests in disaster preparedness and recovery generated from being one of the first on the ground after Katrina performing facility assessments to determine if preparatory measures salvaged structures in the hurricane’s destructive path. His enhanced preparations for Hurricanes Gustav and Ike saved numerous structures which opened within two hours of regaining power. An MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, he holds three distinctive certifications: Certified Facility Manager with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Business Continuity Professional with the Disaster Recovery Institute International, and Certified Member of the Business Continuity Institute in the UK. He is the only professional to hold these three distinguished certifications.

Passionate in his facilities and disaster practice, he has published over forty international articles in numerous publications. He has been interviewed by the Houston Chronicle, Fox news, NPR, Buildings Magazine, NBiz and Shop Talk Evolution. He received IFMA’s 2013 Distinguished Author of the Year for his landmark article, Disasters are the New Normal. Since 2010, he has presented nationally on the benefits of the collaboration between facilities, property management and disaster recovery departments. In October, he gave the first four hour Deeper Dive Session at IFMA’s World Workplace in Philadelphia.
