Meet the New Faces Shaping Our City

Houston seeks a fresh thinking from the next generation of real estate development leaders. Who are these visionaries that are redefining our city's neighborhoods and districts? What's craved and what's obsolete? What are their ambitions for Houston?

Ceci Arreola joined Rice Management Company in 2015 as the Asset Manager for Real Estate. Ms. Arreola is responsible for the portfolio of direct assets and assists with oversight of the broader real estate portfolio. Previously, she spent five years at Lionstone Investments, a Houston based real estate private equity firm, where she was the Assistant Portfolio Manager for 3 value-add funds and one core separate account totaling $1.3 billion in AUM. She has prior experience in real estate investment sales and development. Ms. Arreola received her M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in honors sociology, cum laude from Rice University. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and serves as the Vice Chair for its Women's Leadership Initiative in Houston.

Steve A. Radom is the founder and Managing Principal of Radom Capital LLC.  Radom Capital is a Houston-based real estate investment, development and management firm based in Houston, Texas, that focuses on retail, entertainment, dining and creative office environments. Radom Capital aspires to collaborate community, culture and commerce in all its projects.

Prior to forming Radom Capital, he was a Principal and Vice President at Radler Enterprises, Inc., a family-owned business where he oversaw the firm’s acquisitions, leasing and financing functions.  Prior to joining Radler, Mr. Radom worked as an attorney for New York-based Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, L.L.P. and as a tax consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers L.P. 

Mr. Radom received a Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Public Accounting from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business, along with a Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law.  He is a licensed attorney and certified public accountant (inactive) and a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants

 

 

Nick Massad, III

Nick was introduced to the hospitality industry by his parents, Nick and Vicki, who raised their children in and around their family business, American Liberty Hospitality.  He pursued a natural service inclination by studying hospitality at the University of Houston’s Hilton College.

After school, Nick spent ten years working for two of the best hospitality companies in the world – Four Seasons Hotels and Hilton Worldwide.  Rooms operations and revenue management were his focuses, giving him a platform to join the family business. 

Nick joined ALH in operations, helping to open, reposition and manage new hotels.  After several years of property management, Nick began working on new development projects, and eventually moved to the ALH corporate office to pursue new developments full time with his father.  Nick’s primary focus now is growing ALH via new construction and acquisition of real estate, as well as growing third party management. 

Nick and wife Monica have four sons and live on the west side of Houston.  They love the Lord, the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Kirby Liu

Kirby has a background in architectural design, property development, and investment banking. A Fulbright Research Scholar with expertise in China, Russia and Central Asia, Kirby worked as a leveraged finance banker and worked on the US$7 billion acquisition of Smithfield Foods by Shuanghui Group, the largest acquisition of a US firm by a Chinese firm to date. Kirby graduated with distinction from Darmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and studied architecture at Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
