Chapter Forum : Property strategy - From the ground up to the board room

When:  May 27, 2014
Associated with  Melbourne

When Robyn Stewart was appointed General Manager – Property she inherited a portfolio in danger of collapse with potentially profound impact on the capacity to do business.

In 2009, Goodstart Early Learning purchased the liquidated ABC Learning Centres. Today they are  one of Australia’s leading providers of under-5 child care. With a property portfolio of over 640 centres they help meet the child care needs of over 61,000 families, Australia-wide, supporting their corporate mission which is to give Australia’s children the best possible start in life. It's no secret that property played a vital role in meeting this imperative but the journey was not without its challenges.

Today, she has a ‘seat at the board room table’ and property has risen to its rightful place as a strategic and value creating function.

At this event you will learn:

  • How high level risks to the business from the premises were overcome
  • Why CRE has become a common board room topic
  • How Robyn's Tier 1 CRE Experience was used to guide and drive this transformation
