Federal Realty Investment Trust:
VP Development Patrick McMahon
Patrick McMahon joined Federal Realty Investment Trust in 2013 and is responsible for all aspects of the development process, including sourcing opportunities, permitting, design, construction and delivery. Currently, McMahon is managing the second phase of development at Assembly Row in Somerville, Massachusetts which includes a 158-key hotel, 122 for-sale condominiums, 447 rental apartment units, 165,000 square feet of retail space and associated parking. Prior to joining Federal Realty Investment Trust, he was a Vice President at Simpson Housing and led the northeast office. In 2013, he completed the Victor, a mixed-use, transit-oriented project in Boston’s Bulfinch Triangle with 286 residential units and 17,000 square feet of retail space. Prior to Simpson, McMahon was a Project Director at Edward A. Fish Associates, a major New England real estate development company. He sits on the Board of Directors of Heading Home, Inc. and the Board of Trustees for Planning Office of Urban Affairs.
JLL: Executive Vice President Ben Coffin
As Executive Vice President, Mr. Coffin’s primary focus is on the Cambridge market, providing best-in-class real estate services in both office and biotech sectors. Mr. Coffin specializes in representing tenants, landlords and investors in the leasing, development and sale of commercial real estate throughout the region and implementing real estate strategies for organizations.
Gensler: Design Director and Principal Alexander Fernández
A Gensler Design Director and Principal, Alex’s relentless passion for art and design provides his clients a comprehensive perspective. His global portfolio reflects a mix of project types and scales including master plans, mixed-use developments and retail centers, commercial office buildings and universities. A lifelong learner and educator, Alex has taught design and drawing at several universities in the U.S. and abroad and has received numerous design awards, including a fellowship at The MacDowell Colony and the Gabriel Prize, a national research fellowship. Alex earned his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Syracuse University’s campuses in New York and Florence, Italy.
