Joint CoreNet Global Ohio Kentucky Chapter and the Northern Ohio Chapter IFMA on this joint program touring one of Cleveland's most historic venues - the Cleveland Athletic Club. Since closing in 2007, this renovation project has been on/off for years, but will finally be finished in the very near future. Construction crews can see the light at the end of the tunnel on this 15 story neoclassic building located in the Euclid Avenue Historic District. The State of Ohio awarded a $5 million preservation tax-credit for the project, which in total is a $52.3 million investment.
This property will be mainly residential with 177 apartments units. The ballroom, dining room and bar on the seventh floor willbe used as an event space, and the swimming pool will reopen, as an amenity for residents. The squash courts will be transformed into apartements and the gym, with a 30-foot ceiling, will be three-level, townhouse-style residences. Many of the clubs features in the original space will stay, however, the famed 15th-floor bowling alley will not. As well, the locker rooms will be demolished and replaced with a smaller, more compact state-of-the-art workout room for the residents.
There will be an opportunity for refreshments and networking following the tour.
