November 16th - Tampa Sports Commission 
On November 16th the Tampa Chapter met at the Cushman & Wakefield offices for a presentation by the Tampa Sports Commission.  The conversation was centered around the Tampa Sports Commission's involvement in bringing large national sporting events to the Tampa Bay area. 

October 26th - Why Tampa
On October 26, the Tampa Chapter held a panel discussion with industry leaders to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of Tampa Bay from a real estate prospective.  The discussion included a focus on Tampa's success in attracting and retaining large corporations that have committed to growing their employee base in the region.  The panel was comprised of: Steven Kaufman (Jabil Inc.), Wendy Ivanov (Johnson & Johnson), and Lee Evans (Bristol Myers Squibb) and was moderated by Peter Barnett (PwC). Venue: The Centre Club Tampa.


21 - Breakfast Discussion on Development Trends in Tampa Bay 
On September 21, the Tampa Chapter gathered at the new industrial development, Crossroads Commerce Center, which is being developed by Marcobay Construction and is listed by JLL.  With breakfast and coffee, the group participated in an informal presentation and discussion around the Crossroads Commerce Center development and other industrial development trends occurring in Tampa Bay.

24, 2017 - Smart Cities, Wellness and Technology in the Workplace - Lake Nona
On August 24, the Tampa Chapter headed to Lake Nona to listen to a presentation by Vik Bangia of Verum Consulting followed by Ken DiScipio and the Tavistock team on the topic of Smart Cities and wellness and technology in the workplace.  Following the presentation, members and guests toured the WHIT house (intelligent home) in Lake Nona. 

July 11, 2017 - Workplace Technology Breakfast

On July 11, the Tampa Chapter gathered at the PwC offices for breakfast, networking, and a presentation by Dylan McCroy of SiteReady and Rick Mullins of PwC on Workplace Technology and the integration of IT into all other aspects of commercial real estate.

June 22, 2017 - Tour of the Armature Works Building and Networking at Ulele
On June 22, the Tampa Chapter toured the Tampa Armature Works redevelopment along the Hillsborough River.  The building is set to deliver in September of this year.  Following the site tour, the group walked over to Ulele for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in Ulele's in-house brewery. 

May 25, 2017 - Tour of Coppertail Brewing Co. and Networking

On May 25, the Tampa Chapter toured Coppertail Brewing Co. to learn about the behind-the-scenes operations including the beer making process, history of the brewery, and the science behind brewing.  Following the tour, members and future members enjoyed an hour of networking and beer tasting.


20, 2017 - Tour of Tampa Bay WaVE and Coworking Panel Discussion

On April 20, the Tampa Chapter toured Tampa Bay WaVE's tech business accelerator program and coworking facility.  Following the tour, the group gathered upstairs at The Attic for cocktails, appetizers, and an informative panel discussion on coworking with Kay Sargent (HOK), Laurie Lieberman (Steelcase), Stephanie Lindstrom and Kostas Stoilas (TB WaVE).   


11, 2017 - Young Leaders Lunch & Learn - Enterprise Alignment
On April 11, Young leaders gathered at the JLL offices in downtown Tampa for a lunch & learn with MCR top rated faculty, Gordon Hurrell of Alexion Pharmaceuticals.  The discussion was focused on the topic of Enterprise Alignment and included a case study on the $68 Billion Pfizer acquisition of Wyeth Inc.. 

March 21, 2017 - Tour of Tampa Bay Times

On March 21, the Chapter took a tour of the Tampa Bay Times printing facility in Saint Petersburg, FL.  The event had 11 attendees and was very informative.  Interesting takeaways from this event included the process of designing, creating, and distributing newspaper. Tampa Bay Times shared an insightful and positive outlook on the changing technological environment that is affecting the consumers preferred method of digesting the product: local news.  Following the tour, the group made their way to 3 Daughters Brewing Co. for networking and happy hour.
