Masterclass in Change Management

As part of an objective to provide more variety and better quality of local events for members, and professionals working in workplaces and corporate real estate, the Sydney Chapter is holding a three hour Master class in Change Management.

We have been fortunate in obtaining the services of Elisabeth Gleed of the BBC and Natalie Slessor of Macquarie Bank to co-present this session.

Lis is travelling from London to be a key note speaker at the New Zealand CoreNet Global Symposium on 20 July. Her visit to Sydney as part of this trip provides a unique opportunity to learn and share her experience from working on the £1 billion BBC W1 project in London.

Natalie is based in Sydney and is Director of Workplace Strategy for Macquarie Group, and was a key member of the Shelley Street project team that was responsible for the most significant application of activity-based working in Australia to-date.

The class will guide you through the theory and application of workplace change management principles.  The format is designed to be interactive, and participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences in group discussion.

The Master class will provide participants with:

• real life examples that address the shift from “one size fits all” solutions to desk sharing and activity based working with a range of change management solutions;
• change management tools - workstyle analysis, leadership workshops, staff engagement strategies;
• answers to your questions with concrete examples, including facilitated experience-sharing with other Master class participants; and
• experienced change agents who understand the impact of change and workspace design on business productivity and how that can be translated for end users.

The Master class will be facilitated by Chris Alcock, a leading exponent of workplace change in Australia. Chris has been undertaking major workplace change projects for client organisations in Australia and New Zealand for the past six years.
