May has arrived quickly and starting with our June program, we will be back to meeting in person. For those not comfortable meeting in person, we are working to make sure we continue with an online option. We anticipate the online option will continue indefinitely for our many remote members. Personally, I am looking forward to being back in person, but in a safe environment. In hearing from many of you, I know you agree with me the “community spirit” of our local chapter is most important to your membership. We all enjoy the terrific, thought-leading programs and access to resources on both the local and national level, but most important to our members are the relationships that have evolved through their individual involvement in the chapter.
Our June 8 program will include a time for networking and we encourage you to join us.
In addition, our Community Outreach committee is organizing an event on June 10th from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Feed My Starving Children - Eagan location. We have reserved 20 spots and each group will be a group of five for social distancing purposes. We encourage you to sign up, if you have not already done so. Once the spots are filled, we will close registration so we encourage you to sign up today. Giving back to our community has been a key initiative for our chapter as long as I can remember…..and that is a long time!
While giving back is so appreciated by the organizations we serve, the best part of the event is the social activity itself. I have gotten to know many of our members by working alongside them at these outreach events. Remember, it is the relationships that come from involvement in committees and community outreach events that are the “secret sauce” of our chapter. It is from these deep rooted relationships that we grow best in our personal development, our networks and our business opportunities. We hope to see you there!
