The 2020 Mega Event will be completely virtual this year in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  The format for the annual Mega Event in 2020 will be a series of Round Table discussions to offer a chance to share ideas, thoughts, concerns and current real estate issues.   We are seeking proposals for moderators and topics. 


Call for Content:

We are looking to the Corporate Real Estate Community to provide the leadership and topics for the round table sessions.
  Each session will have a limited number of attendees, a dedicated committee member who will take notes and a “technology expert”.

Welcome! Briefly, explain the format, review Zoom muting procedures, process for participating in the round table, time frames, etc.

WHAT WILL MAKE A WINNING ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION PROPOSAL?

  • Looking beyond COVID-19: While this is the topic of the day, offer a glimpse as to what the future of Corporate Real Estate holds.
  • Strong moderator/s that can foster engagement and a sense of community.
  • The focus should be on the opportunity to converse with peers, not the presentation.
  • Use of technology to engage attendees (polling, video, preliminary questions, etc...).
  • The topic should address real life situations, lessons learned, and insight into the future of CRE.

 

KEY DATES:

  • Round Table Topic Proposal Due: August 10, 2020
  • Notification of Acceptances: August 17, 2020
  • Draft Presentation Review: September 1, 2020
  • Practice Run: September 22 – 28, 2020

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Attendees will be required to sign up in advance to manage the number of attendees.  The invitation to attend the Mega Event Round Table Sessions will go out to the Carolinas Chapter but given the virtual format, sign-up will be open to anyone.  The sessions will be offered over the course of several days and at differing times. 

The overall schedule and number of sessions will be developed as part of the submission review process.  The committee may ask that some sessions be offered more than once if a session is full and there is enough interest to fill another time slot.   

Please provide the following information when submitting your proposal:

  1. PRESENTERS/MODERATORS: Name/s, Title/s, Company/Organization/s
  2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN LEADING VIRTUAL ROUND TABLES
  3. PRESENTATION TITLE
  4. PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION: Short narrative or outline of content. 
  5. KEY TAKE AWAYS: List a few aspects that capture the value of the presentation/round table.
  6. SUBMITTED BY/CONTACT: Name, Email, Phone
