Suzanne Cooper, CIEE (CoreNet Global New England Chapter President) – Suzanne has over 25 years of progressive, diverse experience in acquiring, developing, managing, operating, and disposing of corporate real estate in both small and large organizations. She spent 17 years at Cisco, a $49B global IT and networking company where she was responsible for optimizing the performance and cost of a 16M SF portfolio, disposed of in excess of $1B in real estate assets, and worked with the business to align the real estate portfolio with their financial and flexibility needs. In October 2017, Suzanne joined the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) as the Director of Global Corporate Real Estate and subsequently promoted to Senior Director. CIEE is the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit/NGO study abroad and intercultural exchange organization with operations across 67 study centers in 45 countries and growing. She has responsibility for CIEE’s global real estate portfolio including planning, transactions, lease administration, and projects. She is responsible for developing corporate real estate standards and processes, centralizing a global corporate real estate function/team, and formulating strategic space planning/utilization strategies and solutions that support the business. Suzanne is President of the CoreNet Global New England Chapter, past Chair and BOD Liaison of the Real Advantage Committee, and a member of the Real Advantage, Golf, Talent in Transition, Membership, and Young Leader Program selection committees. She holds both the CoreNet MCR and SLCR designations and is a past recipient of the CoreNet Global New England Real Estate Executive of the Year award.
