Wrap Up: Hybrid Experiences

When:  Nov 11, 2021 from 04:30 PM to 07:15 PM (BST)
Associated with  United Kingdom

Hybrid Experiences will explore how we combine the productive engagement with integrated technology to create fresh combinations of live and virtual experiences.

How do we maximise the experience for both the ‘in-person’ and ‘virtual’ attendees; Can we blend online content with physical experiences. Are we using the technology to its full potential?

Our 2021 Wrap Up event ‘Hybrid Experiences’ will put this to the test, and to help navigate the technology available to us and the behaviours we need to adapt, CoreNet Global UK is delighted to announce our Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr Nicola Millard - Principal Innovation Partner, BT
  • Sir Clive Woodward, England 2003 Rugby World Cup Winning Head Coach;  Director of Sport Team GB: London 2012, Vancouver 2010, Beijing 2008;  Founding Partner and Chairman of Hive Learning
Focused on “creating an environment so good that everyone wants to be a part of and nobody ever wants to leave,” Clive’s talk on creating One Team encapsulates the collaborative leadership model he successfully applied with the World Cup winning England rugby team and Team GB at London 2012 and a number of businesses today. Clive's One Team system is all about creating a culture in which disparate teams can come together and flourish. Clive will explain how through Teamship every team member has a role to play in setting the behaviours and standards of the team and how the continual setting, re-setting and evaluating of standards helps a team to develop its identity and purpose.

Nicola and Sir Clive will be joined by CoreNet Global UK’s own Adam Hoy, Global Head of GSK Real Estate who will chair a panel discussion to bring it all into a relevant applicable CRE context. Additional panellists to be announced.

Dr Nicola Millard

Once described as “human caffeine” on Twitter, Dr Nicola Millard injects a positive, people-centred expresso shot to innovation and future strategy. Half social scientist, half technologist, all academic, she uses techniques from disciplines such as design thinking, psychology, anthropology, computing, and business consulting to generate data, provocations and stories which can engage and create conversations from the board room, to the front line. No frothy coffee; just solid research.

In her long and varied career at BT – mostly based at Adastral Park in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK – Nicola has done a number of jobs, including futurology, research, usability, customer service, marketing, and business consulting. She was involved with a number of BT firsts, including the first application of artificial intelligence into BT's call centres, BT's initial experiments with home working, and helping to develop BT’s “net easy” score, a new way of measuring customer experience. She currently looks at innovation in both employee and customer experience.

Nicola got her PhD from Lancaster University in 2005 and has authored over 50 publications – including 1 book and numerous book chapters.

Nicola is an award winning presenter, with 2 TED talks and hundreds of conference panel, chair and keynote sessions under her belt. She occasionally pops up on radio and TV around the world, including appearances on 'Woman's Hour', 'Tech Tent', ‘The Genius of Invention and ‘Back in Time for the Weekend' for the BBC.

She is a judge on a number of award panels, including the Institute of Customer Service, the CCMA and the Association of Business Psychology. In both 2019 and 2020 she was listed as one of the top 20 UK CX Influencers by Customer Experience Magazine.
