We are delighted to announce that we are making a return to face-to-face events a fresh instalment of our ever-popular architectural walking tours.
Peter Rees spent 3 decades as City Planning Officer, during which time he nicknamed skyscrapers; correctly predicted that 1 Poultry would become a listed building; insisted on stone elevations at Broadgate (which he admits was a mistake); and successfully took the ‘bling’ out of the Bloomberg project. His work in the City of London was based around his idea that “living, working and playing together in a great urban centre fuels a social meritocracy. The dispersed alternative encourages our modern mediocracy” – more than ever this is relevant and we invite you to join us on Wednesday 4th August to explore the bustling areas of the City that Peter has helped curate throughout his career.
We'll end our tour at the Sterling Bar, at the foot of the Gherkin.
