Virtual Leadership: Thriving In Remote Settings:
‘Leadership is a process of social influence which maximizes efforts of others towards achievement of a goal’ Kevin Kruse, Forbes Magazine, 2013
There has been, and will continue to be, a volume of content put out into the ‘ethersphere’ on ‘Remote Working’ or ‘Work From Home’. Much, but not all, content has focused on the physical settings, connectivity, hardware or software solutions; or debate between benefits of WFH and Workplace settings and processes for easing ‘peace of mind’ and mental health. But how can we better socially influence our colleagues and teams to maximise efforts towards achievement of a goal? How can we be better leaders in this less connected environment? And should expectations of good leadership be exclusive to seniority or management on this or any other context? In a less physically connected workplace how can we ‘maximize efforts of others towards achievement of a goal?
