The CoreNet UK Chapter & BCO interactive workshop for the occupier community

When:  Jul 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 01:15 PM (UTC)
Associated with  United Kingdom
Tackling the climate emergency will be a defining challenge over the next few decades. With buildings accounting for 40% of carbon emissions, real estate and workplace teams have a critical role to play in the transition to a net zero carbon economy. With occupiers organisations now committing to high-profile carbon reduction and net zero targets how can the occupier community pool together to share best-practice and learnings?

This event will be a highly interactive session run as 2 workshop sessions and is only open to occupier members and the wider occupier community. During the event you will have the opportunity to meet with your peer group, to share knowledge and network. This time we have teamed up with the British Council for Offices to open it up to a wider pool of the occupier community and to bring a premier learning event.

During the session we will discuss:
• Turning commitment into execution: What are the key aspects of your companies targets and how are you looking to measure and report?

• Working with finance: How are your organisations tracking the return on investment and/or payback timelines and comparing them to traditional capital projects

• The responsibility of the owner/landlord: Could a rise in green leases make a substantial impact?

• Gauging the maturity of the supply chain: From owners to consultants, are they ready to support?
