New! Chapter Sustainability Forum
As part of our mission to provide our Members with exceptional strategic programs and networking opportunities, the Hong Kong Chapter of CoreNet is excited to announce the roll out of our Forum Series, beginning with the topic of Sustainability in Corporate Real Estate. Join us as senior experts in the CRE industry hold a panel dialogue with audience participation, to surface the real issues and solutions to sustainability. On behalf of the Chapter Committee, Brian Crockford, Chapter Chair, invites you to get your day up and running with a networking breakfast in the heart of Central, followed by the Sustainability Forum. Attendance is limited to 40 people on a first come, first served basis.
Thursday 20th January - 7:15am to 9:15am at 24/F, Club Lusitano, Ice House Street/Duddell Street, Central
TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: HOW DEVELOPERS, PROJECT MANAGERS AND ARCHITECTS ARE CREATING AND USING SPACES MORE SUSTAINABLY
Our expert panelists will skip the clichés and surface underlying economic, political, and social factors creating sustainable CRE. Frequently, the most influential aspects in building profitable, responsible CRE solutions are overlooked. For example, user behavior is an important consideration in creating CRE spaces that aim to generate brand loyalty and use resources efficiently, yet it is a little discussed topic in the industry. The economic value of ‘sustainability’ and CRE goes beyond energy use, but still we frequently focus case studies on the air-conditioning bills. In this Forum, we will look at these and other positions in the context of Hong Kong, a unique market with both benefits and challenges, as it strives to become the lab and center for ‘green’ CRE in China.
