EVENT DESCRIPTION
We often fail to get to know the different generations because we’re too busy stereotyping. Stereotypes can be one-dimensional and are often negative, so they get in the way of understanding another person.
By putting on the generational lens you can begin to understand what life experiences, values or expectations have shaped a generation’s perspective and why they may see things differently from the way you do.
Get ready to participate as this session is highly interactive! Our speaker will guide the group through recent studies on what makes each generation unique, and how those differences manifest in communication, collaboration, receiving feedback, formality, work ethic and more. In addition, we’ll explore how generational preferences may translate into the built environment.
Objectives for this Generational Diversity session include:
• Break down generational stereotypes
• Explore how generations communicate, clash and connect
• Discuss how generational preferences may translate into the built environment
• Walk away with a deeper understanding of all generations
• Have fun
