Committees

Administration

The Administration committee coordinates all administrative functions of the Chapter and ensures that the marketing strategy and tools are dynamic and consistent amongst all media and within each committee. The committee also coordinates the placement of articles, news releases and ads in business and trade publications and maintains relationships with editors. The Administration Committee is also responsible for overseeing the creation and distribution of the Chapter’s Newsletter, E-News, electronic marketing and website.

Communities

The CoreNet NYC Communities are forums for ongoing collaboration among Chapter members to share critical knowledge and discover solutions to common problems affecting the industry. Communities of practice allow members to tap into the distributed intelligence of the corporate real estate community. Members are part of a broader network within CoreNet Global Communities and have access to programs, research, reports and fellow thought leaders worldwide via the organization’s online professional networking tool, “NetWORK.” Locally, the CoreNet NYC Communities include Sustainability, Strategy & Portfolio Planning (SPP) and Technology.

Sustainability Community
The CoreNet NYC Sustainability Community promotes the development, introduction and dissemination of industry best practices, guidelines and protocols to accelerate the adoption and diffusion of sustainable and socially responsible real estate practices.

Strategy & Portfolio Planning (SPP) Community
The CoreNet NYC SPP Community focuses on the areas of intersection among key aspects of portfolio planning, including finance, technology, sustainability, health and wellness and talent. Events are structured to combine research with inter-disciplinary collaboration, making SPP the meeting place for experts to share their experiences and best practices.

Technology Community
The CoreNet NYC Technology Community is a knowledge sharing network providing members with access to end-users and service providers in technology evaluation, implementation and management to leverage collective learning and future trends while driving innovation.

Public Policy

The CoreNet NYC Public Policy committee responds to CoreNet member interest in chapter events and Executive Board leadership initiatives related to Infrastructure, Public Policy, Public & Private Partnerships and other issues in the community that are touched by the real estate industry.

External Relations 

The CoreNet NYC External Relations committee focuses on fostering learning partnerships with universities located in and around New York City. The committee builds constructive linkages between the Chapter, the City, and the community to enhance the chapter’s brand as the preeminent network of Corporate Real Estate professionals.

Membership

The CoreNet NYC Membership committee works with the CoreNet Global to ensure that the member and prospect lists are kept up to date. The committee organizes new member events and orientations to encouraging participation within the Chapter, and actively seeks to increase Chapter membership by recruiting prospective members to join the organization and become more involved.

Newsletter

The CoreNet NYC Newsletter committee is responsible for the creation and distribution of the Chapter’s quarterly Newsletter, Insite Magazine. Each volume zeroes in on hot industry topics through featured articles, event recaps, fun facts and other highlights. The committee members generate it’s content through research and interviews with leading professionals in the corporate real estate industry. InSite is highly regarded for its relevant, informative and cutting-edge articles. Our content is distributed through direct mail, email and social media channels.

Programs

The CoreNet NYC Programs committee develops cutting-edge quarterly programs geared toward discussing commercial real estate industry trends. The committee enlists high caliber speakers who provide unique perspectives and insights on issues concerning the New York City market. Focused training and guidelines for best practices are also developed through Chapter programming.

The CoreNet NYC Special Events committee organizes and hosts the Chapter’s large scale annual events including: The Annual Dinner, Golf Outing and New Year’s Party. Each event has a dedicated subcommittee, managed by Vice-Chairs who oversee the tasks involved in organizing the affair.

Special Industry Groups (SIGs)

The CoreNet NYC Special Industry Groups (SIGs) are industry-focused forums for members to convene over topic of interest, while networking and sharing best practices. SIGs provide members with a great opportunity to network and share best practices in roundtable format on a quarterly basis. Exclusive to corporate end-users within the appropriate industry cluster, participants discuss current issues, brainstorm and help develop measurable real estate solutions.

Sponsorship


The CoreNet NYC Sponsorship committee is responsible for implementation of the annual sponsorship campaign as well as maintaining relationships with the existing sponsors throughout the year. The drive starts in October and goes through late January, early February.

Womens Group

The CoreNet NYC Women’s Group provides networking opportunities and programs specific to issues facing women in the Corporate Real Estate industry. The committee’s goal is to elevate women in Corporate Real Estate through engagement, empowerment and education. The Women’s Group also manages the Mentor Program, which is opened to all members, men and women.

Workshops

The CoreNet NYC Workshops committee has two primary goals: to design and implement local learning workshops and to act as a resource center and advocate for the CoreNet Global learning programs. The committee implements six members-only workshops annually where the groups address technical topics and best practices, drawing on leaders in the industry as speakers. The committee hosts professional development seminars through the CoreNet Global’s CoRE Workshops program.

Young Leaders 

The CoreNet NYC Young Leaders committee is dedicated to the educational and networking needs of individual practitioners under the age of 35 serving the corporate real estate industry. Its mission is to attract and retain the Chapter’s future leaders with programs designed to encourage young professionals to participate and become actively engaged in the industry. Comprised of corporate real estate and workplace executives from various industries including banking, law, media, insurance, real estate brokerage, engineering, architecture and project management, the committee is committed to ensuring that future real estate leaders have access to educational resources and networking opportunities with their peers, as well as senior professionals, to support their professional development and growth.
