WHAT YOU'LL DO

This co-op position offers a great opportunity to learn about corporate real estate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Global Real Estate is an integral component of the global finance and operations teams. The team works directly with and supports the Head of Global Operations and other executives to make strategic decisions on the long-term real estate strategy for worldwide offices. Strategies must consider leasing structures, office design, how people work, and technology innovations.

The co-op will assist in real estate analysis that impacts leasing and design strategies to drive change across a global portfolio.


YOU'RE GOOD AT

This person will assist the Global Real Estate Team on various projects and support activities. Following are some specific areas in which the co-op student would be working or be responsible for:
  • Assist in reporting log-in data / space utilization, and analyze usage trends from various perspectives
  • Liaise with lease abstraction team to ensure accurate and updated information in the lease database
  • Be part of the working team to develop platforms for knowledge management and reporting
  • Maintain updated metrics on performance of the global portfolio, as well as business segments
  • Support project management team in reconciling actual capital spend versus approved budget
  • Gather information from worldwide offices about their space designs and occupancy models
  • Develop workplace surveys and analyze results to inform project success
  • Support in development of leadership presentations regarding portfolio performance
  • Conduct other ad hoc analyses as needed


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Interest in corporate real estate
  • Comfortable and resourceful in conducting research and analysis
  • Proficient in Powerpoint and MS Excel with ability to design and maintain spreadsheets
  • Some analytic skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Prior work, internship or co-op experience in a progressive corporate environment
  • Some interest in learning about floor plans and office designs
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize work and multi-task on different requests under tight timeframes
  • Strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proactive and creative; ability to evaluate options in multiple ways
  • Ability to develop good working relationship with management
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program
  • Must be able to work part-time throughout duration of employment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States


YOU'LL WORK WITH

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
