  Johan van der Walt

Johan started his career in real estate as investment broker with C&W. He proceeded to advise on and manage the portfolios of multinational clients including Canon, Nike, Converse and Unilever across Africa, Europe and Asia. Johan has extensive multidisciplinary international experience having lived in Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Shanghai. He holds a B.Eng. (Electrical) and B.Sc. (Physics and Mathematics) from the North West University and is currently with Unilever where he heads up the real estate team in Africa, NAMET and RUB. Johan is also the founder and chairman of the Corporate Real Estate Network (CEORENET) chapter for Africa

In 1998, Kerry left Lyons to co-found his own business, Real FMG. Under Kerry’s leadership, many of South Africa’s foremost companies, most of them multi-nationals, have become Real FMG clients. Real FMG now occupies the niche position of being the only professional services company in the local commercial property market to exclusively represent tenants. Kerry is a Professional Member of RICS, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Sebastian has13 + years experience in CRE at Siemens in commercial, strategic and operational functions in Europe, Asia and Africa. He is responsible for overall Siemens’ Real Estate activities in Sub-Sahara Africa.

  Jonathan Turner
  Cushman & Wakefield

Jonathan is a Partner at Cushman & Wakefield and General Manager, Global Occupier Services Africa at Cushman & Wakefield Excellerate. 

Jonathan has over 30 years of real estate experience, specializing in advising multi-national corporates and managing multi-disciplinary client relationships. A Partner since 1995, he established the firm’s occupier management business in the UK, has undertaken global client leadership roles for many years and latterly he has also been the relationship manager responsible for developing and expanding Cushman & Wakefield’s service delivery platform in Africa. Jonathan is now relocating to Johannesburg to further expand the firm’s Occupier Services functions and the service delivery platform across Africa. 

A chartered surveyor (RICS), Jonathan holds a BA (Hons) in Economic History from Durham University, an MA in Land Economy from Cambridge University and a Masters in Corporate Real Estate (CoreNet).
