Managing Property and Infrastructure in Recent Times of Natural Disaster in Queensland – Lessons Learnt

Recent experience in Queensland has seen people, families and organisations experience unprecedented floods, cyclonic conditions and even earthquakes. The effect of the January Floods is still being felt, particularly by organisations such as Brisbane City Council, Energex, Suncorp and Australia Post; all of whom have had to provide recovery community services in addition to providing normal business requirements for those unaffected by disaster.

The Brisbane Chapter of CoreNet Global has assembled a very select Panel to discuss the impact of recent natural disasters on their respective organisations, as well as giving the audience an insight into the ’Lessons Learnt’ from recovery efforts and how organisationally effort may be improved next time we experience this type of event.
