To all CoreNet Washington State Chapter Members,

Welcome to 2022!  I’m so excited and humbled to be your Chapter President for 2022.  My focus is to maximize the benefit that you receive from the Board of Directors and our Committees as a valued member of our chapter.

As an end-user, my real estate and facilities background has always been here in the PNW working primarily for global tech companies (Onyx, Concur, and now SAP) as well as with, what at the time, was the country’s largest savings and loan bank, Washington Mutual.  I am eager to bring that experience and perspective to the chapter’s strategic plan this year.

The Board and I are developing a large slate of opportunities for you to engage with each other and yes, some of it will be face to face!  We expect to have tours, networking events, new user/mentorship opportunities, and informational industry-focused sessions for our up-and-coming student members.

Yes, COVID is still with us and it will flavor much of what we do or don’t do as well as how we do it this year.  However, I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.  We’ve figured out how to work within the confines of COVID and provide robust and engaging content and events to our members while also keeping them safe.  Our members are craving more face-to-face events because they know relationship building and the quality of innovation is feeble on Zoom.

Over the past few years, the real estate model has also changed starting with how we design and use space. The power of choice in the hands of the end-user is higher than ever now. Companies with strong employee autonomy are more attractive and the hybrid work model is here to stay. These themes will be a large part of our zeitgeist in 2022.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to lead this great group of real estate and facilities professionals.  My virtual door is always open and I’m open to your feedback and input so never hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Be kind to each other,
