Singapore we too in Hong Kong held a very well attended event in April at the Hong Kong Club – which led to several interesting debates about what is cutting edge design and tomorrow's technology. Big thanks goes out to Paul Scroggie from Knight Frank who stood in at the last minute to facilitate the event and did a great job.
Earlier in the year we held a very thought provoking training session on "what is your brand" and once every one got over the disappointment that they could not all link themselves to Apple - there was some very interesting and fun discussion. Also thanks to Mark Hayman and Andrew Mole from Ove Arup & Partners who walked us through lessons learned following recent disasters and how building technology can protect us from the ravages of mother nature. Did you know that the largest earthquake in the last 600 years was centred just off Seattle? You may want to think hard before you buy more technology shares!! I also must mention our Young Leaders breakfast meetings which offer a unique opportunity for young professionals to ask candid questions of seasoned executives as they work their way through a hearty breakfast.
Looking forward to the long, hot (and hopefully not too wet) summer, we have a number of events lined up – Property Markets Update, End User Forum and a Summer Social Event.
Please make sure you check out our new LinkedIn page where you can feedback comments on recent events or anything else you may wish to comment upon. Last but not least, a big thanks to all our corporate sponsors for supporting us for another year.
