A critical part of the job search is effectively negotiating a job offer. Most people know they should negotiate. However, many would say they aren’t as comfortable negotiating for themselves as they could be. In this presentation, Ginny Rehberg will provide detailed advice, tips and techniques for negotiating compensation. She will cover 5 ways to avoid talking about money too early in the process, when to negotiate, with whom, what to negotiate for and the actual words to use in the process (“steps and scripts”).

Ginny Rehberg is President of RMG, a leading career advisory and executive coaching firm based in Newton, MA. Known as TV’s “Career Doctor” for her work with Boston CBS television affiliate WBZ-TV, she has been quoted in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Boston Globe and has been featured on WCVB’s Chronicle and WBUR, Boston’s NPR radio station. She is a Past President of the Boston chapter of the Washington D.C.–based Association of Career Professionals International. Prior to starting her own firm, Rehberg served as a Vice President with the #1 and #3-ranked international career transition firms.
