A MESSAGE FROM NEIL AUSTIN
Dear CoreNet New York City Members,
We are pleased to introduce our 2021 CoreNet Board Members, Content Council and Advisors, made up of some of the most dedicated and respected members of our industry. I am honored to serve the NYC Chapter as Chair this year and work closely with all of our driven volunteers and generous sponsors.
On behalf of myself and the CoreNet NYC Board, we would like to express our sincere thank you to our previous Chair, Sheena Gohil, for all that she has done for the Chapter during her three years on the Leadership team and many years as an Executive Board Member. Sheena has been the epitome of a leader for all of us and her commitment to the Chapter has been unmatched.
2020 was a challenging year for us all. As an organization of professionals who aim to connect with one another, we pivoted as a community to create many opportunities for new forms of engagement. While the future still remains uncertain and new models of working will be explored, our roles as CRE professionals continue to evolve and transform in new and exciting ways. We’ve learned that the only constant is change, and we are hopeful that our community and City will soon be making a return. As a past CoreNet UK Chair and Global Board Member, I joined this organization myself as an avenue to connect and learn in-person with those in the industry. This year, the Board is already in the process of innovating our offerings for members, expanding the way we provide you with unique content, establishing our Diversity & Inclusion Task Force and much more. As a Board, we are also prioritizing a platform for Occupiers to continue to engage during this critical time and leveraging our network to help provide solutions to the issues keeping the CRE industry awake at night. We are continuing to monitor local health guidelines and hope to plan in-person networking and learning opportunities as soon as possible.
If you are interested in getting more involved in CoreNet NYC, please reach out to the Membership Committee or myself.
We encourage all of our members to share their feedback on how we can continue to enhance your member experience.
Thank you again to each one of our Annual Sponsors, Committee Volunteers and Members. With your continued enthusiasm and generosity, we are able to continue building our community and advance the corporate real estate industry. I look forward to working with you all on a successful year ahead and hope to meet each of you very soon.
