Awards 2016

The CoreNet Global UK Chapter Awards are now open so don’t miss this opportunity to raise your profile in corporate real estate. We’re looking for entries from across the full range of professions involved in both the demand and supply side of corporate real estate.  This year we have opened up the Awards, allowing all non-members who are sponsored by members to be nominated.  (excluding the Executive Award).

Categories this year include:

  • Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year Award
  • Corporate Real Estate Partnership of the Year Award
  • Innovation Award
  • Young Leader of the Year Award
  • Young Persons’ Essay Award (details to follow)

The Awards

There are 5 awards that are judged each year.

Innovation Award

This Award focuses on innovation and the creative application of new ideas to corporate real estate and/or workplace design & management or on a project or initiative that demonstrates a new sustainable principle. In either category the initiative and/or project should demonstrate how it provides an inspiring example to others in the industry, or leadership through measurable results. Nominations are sought from UK-based in-house teams, service providers, landlords and other building or property professional.

Selection Criteria

Partnership Award

For this Award entries are invited from service providers, advisers, landlords and other building or property professionals. Partners should be UK based and may be individuals and outsourced teams advising or working in partnership with corporate real estate professionals, as well as the providers of real estate or land. Submissions should highlight the added value provided to the tenant, client, corporation or organisation as a result of the collaboration.

CRE Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year Award

Nominations for this Award may be made for any UK-based corporate real estate executive, who is a member of the UK Chapter of Corenet. Submissions should focus on how the nominee has raised the profile of the industry, led a major initiative or, through industry-leading thinking, has earned the respect of his/her peers and brought value to the Corporation, its business and shareholders.

Selection Criteria

Young Leader of the Year Award

Nominations for this Award may be made for any UK-based corporate real estate executive that is a member of the UK Chapter of Corenet, and is 35 years old or younger. Submissions should focus on how the nominee has raised the profile of the industry, led a major initiative or, through industry-leading thinking, has earned the respect of his/her peers and brought value to the Corporation, its business and shareholders.

How to Nominate

To nominate, you will need to register as a nominator on the Awards 2016 Nomination site. Once registered you can save a nomination and complete later by logging in with your registered email and password. All nominations must be complete by 2 December 2016.

Each nomination will require a presentation of no more than 10 slides and 1,000 words that doesn't exceed 6MB and a 100 words summary, full details are available when you click the link above. 

Please note that nominations (presentations) are for judges viewing only. A 100 word synopsis is used for publicity if your entry is shortlisted and all content will be approved by the authors.

Key Dates

The following is the timetable of key dates:

2 December 2016 – Submission period closes
22 February 2017 – Shortlist interviews including filming of 2 minute videos on each shortlisted submission to be shown at ONE BIG DAY 2017.  The interviews will be held at CBRE, St Martin's Court, 10 Paternoster, London EC4M 7HP
8 March 2017 - Winners announced at ONE BIG DAY 2017
